The Deep Palette

 The Deep Palette

As you know from watching my YouTube video's I am a natural brunette with fair colour eyes (a mix of blue, grey and green).  Therefore, my most suitable colour palette is 'deep'.  If you're like me the colours listed below will offer a good, basic range of what you should be looking for in order to stay looking young and radiant.  Women in their 50's or 60's and beyond may find that their colours are lighter and cooler than in their 40's.

Many women in their 40's find that their colouring loses some of its intensity and that they need to adjust the colour of their clothes to remain younger looking.

If you are in your 50's, and you can continue to wear the 'deep' colour palette,  think about adding texture to your colours in order to soften the look.  This maybe the time to consider tinting your hair...

Neutrals

Stone, taupe, pewter, chocolate, black-brown, charcoal, black, damson, aubergine, dark navy, pine and olive.

Lighter colours

Soft white, ivory, primrose, lime, turquoise and cornflower blue

Fashion colours

Burgundy, true red, scarlet, blush pink, bittersweet, royal purple, purple, true blue, forest green, teal, fern and emerald green.

The Rules

- Don't wear two light colours together.

- If you like pastel shades, wear them as a contrast with darker colours.

- In the summer, wear bright colours near your face and not whites, taupes or beiges.

- If wearing just one dark colour on it's own, use accessories to lift the colour.
